Stormy Creek Fish Passage

Located in Chelan County, Stormy Creek is a seven mile-long, second order tributary to the Entiat River. This project seeks to improve instream habitat and fish passage on Stormy Creek by designing, permitting and installing cost effective and sustainable solutions to a variety of anthropogenic fish migration impediments located in the lower 1.5 miles.

Currently two corrugated metal culverts are impeding fish migration to upstream habitat. Stream flows periodically exceed existing culvert capacity and overtop and erode road fill, increasing fine sediment input into the stream.  Once implemented, the correction of these barriers will result in approximately 2.5 miles of improved access and spatial structure for steelhead and rainbow trout.
