Seasonal Stream Habitat Assessment Technicians (4)

Four seasonal field technicians will undertake stream habitat inventories to assess current conditions in streams in primarily the Wenatchee and Entiat watersheds. Habitat assessments support prioritization and implementation of future fish habitat restoration and enhancement projects in the region.

Field technicians will use prescribed protocols to characterize current conditions using both quantitative measurements and qualitative assessments. Methodology is based on USFS Level II Habitat Inventories. Surveys will be conducted on both private and public lands. A typical day will involve hiking up to several miles upstream in rivers and small, sometimes brushy creeks, and driving long distances to access field sites.
